 Welcome to the application form for the Hemispheric Institute’s 8th Encuentro. Everyone must apply to attend the Encuentro, whether or not you are proposing a specific project. All applicants are required to fill out this MAIN APPLICATION FORM and upload a personal Letter of Intent, an individual Bio and a CV/Resumé.
If you want to propose a performance, visual arts exhibit/installation, film/video, or if you want to apply to participate in a work group, you will be able to upload required materials for each by filling out the corresponding application forms, which are available to you via the drop-down menu.
For those applying as part of a group (e.g., a theater company, etc.), each member must fill out a separate Main Application form with individual Letter of Intent, Bio and CV/Resumé. Only the director or designated point person should fill out the additional project application(s) and upload the materials pertaining to the proposed project(s) (e.g., abstract or description of the project, tech rider, photos, etc). **Note: Due to the nature of the electronic application system, please make sure that all files intended for upload follow our file naming guidelines. Prior to uploading, be sure that the file name of the image file on your computer only contains the following characters: lowercase or uppercase letters (a-z, A-Z), numbers (0-9) or underscore ( _ ). The file name must be a continuous string of characters; it cannot contain spaces, accents, dashes, punctuation or other symbols. Additionally, the file name must have the .jpg extension. An example of a valid file name would be martinez_performance001.jpg (without accents or spaces).
